Ask Chairman Hunt to Support SB 137 – the Cancer Treatment Fairness Act!
Contact Chairman Hunt of the Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee and ask him to schedule a vote on SB 137 – the Cancer Treatment Fairness Act!
SB 137, the Cancer Treatment Fairness Act, would put much-needed treatment in the hands of NH’s cancer patients by prohibiting health insurers from imposing such high cost-sharing requirements on oral anti-cancer medications. This will ensure that patients can access the treatment prescribed to them.
Many New Hampshire cancer patients are struggling to pay for the oral anti-cancer medication they need because those treatments often involve a significantly higher out-of-pocket cost than those administered intravenously (IV).
NH’s State Senate recently passed this bill in a unanimous, bipartisan vote. Thirty-seven states and D.C. have already enacted this law. New Hampshire is the only New England state without oral anti-cancer medication parity laws.
Please help us and urge Chairman Hunt to schedule a vote on SB 137! Your support is critical in making this legislation succeed.
