Blood cancer patients in Virginia need your help today
Under many private insurance plans, patients with cancer face extremely high out-of-pocket costs for their life-saving medications. As a result, some cancer patients in Virginia must make the devastating choice between the vital prescriptions they need and putting food on the table for their families.
However, a recently introduced bill, HB 1948/SB 1394 would put much-needed treatments in the hands of Virginia’s cancer patients. This bill would do so by putting a $100 cap on the out-of-pocket cost that a patient must pay for one month’s supply of a specialty drug.
Your legislators’ support is crucial to the success of this bill, which would make much-needed treatments accessible to cancer patients across Virginia.
